What is Safe Space Training?
Safe Space Training is a full-day training that focuses on 2SLGBTQQIA+ related information. It is a 101-style of training. It focuses on basic information, ways to be supportive to individuals that identify as 2SLGBTQQIA+, and goes through various scenarios with discussion on the best way to handle/respond to these scenarios.
Every participant will receive a Certificate of Completion. However, at the end of the training, participants will also be given the opportunity so sign a pledge stating they will be a safe person and space for the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community. Upon signing the pledge, the participant will receive a “Safe Space Postcard” which can be displayed in their office/space, indicating that you are a safe person.
How many people/participants are needed to run a Safe Space Training?
The minimum number of participants required to run a Safe Space Training is 8. The training can host a maximum of 24 participants. These numbers can be flexible if needed.

What is the cost of the Safe Space Training?
Beyond The Prism is willing to work with you and your organization to fit your education and budget needs.
Where would the Safe Space Training be held?
Beyond The Prism does not have a physical location to host Safe Space Training. We come to you. If you and your organization has a location to host the training, that space can be utilized. If you do not have a space to utilize, Beyond The Prism can book a space in your community with the rental fee for the space being the purchaser’s (you and your organization) expense.
Is Safe Space Training and other services offered outside of Dryden?
Yes! Beyond The Prism offers services throughout Northwestern Ontario!
If services are required outside the immediate surroundings of Dryden, travel, accommodations, and meal allowance fees would be required as needed.
What types of payments are accepted?
Currently, payment methods accepted include cash, cheque, and EMT
